Brand
This project was about creating a centralized Brand system inside Wix Harmony, giving users one place to control their site's visual identity - colors, typography, and component styles.
The Challenge
Before this project, users could manage different parts of their brand in different places across the editor.
They could change colors, fonts, and styles, but there was no single source of truth. This made it difficult to create a consistent visual identity, especially for users without design experience.
Another key challenge was creating a new Brand system for the new Wix Editor while taking into account the legacy editor. We had to build a new experience from the ground up, while preserving existing patterns and ensuring a smooth transition for users.
The Approach
Editor that could scale across products and business verticals. While building the new experience, we carefully considered the legacy editor to ensure a smooth transition and preserve familiar patterns where they still added value.
The solution unified colors, typography, and component styles in one place, creating a scalable foundation that balanced flexibility for professional designers with simplicity and guidance for DIY users.
My Role in this Project
-
Defined the Brand experience from a product and UX perspective
-
Identified the needs of both designers and non-designer users.
-
Designed the end-to-end Brand panel and its design patterns.
-
Defined brand content, style libraries and component packs.
-
Created design guidelines and onboarded the Design Studio.
-
Worked closely with Product Managers, UX Writers and Engineers.
-
Collaborated across multiple Wix teams including Components, Studio and Verticals.
-
Performed QA and accessibility reviews before release.
The Impact
Designers were able to build templates faster and make site-wide design changes with minimal effort.
User feedback and usability sessions showed that the centralized Brand system made the workflow more intuitive and helped users maintain a consistent visual identity across their websites.
AI Integration
The Brand system was designed to support both direct interaction through the UI and conversational interaction through Aria.
This ensured users could manage their brand in the way that felt most natural to them.
